According to history, women in Greece has been wearing a peplum dress since the 1800’s. This specific Greek garment is called a ”Peplos” and it’s basically a rectangular piece of fabric that has been tied and folded around the body to create an effect of layering around the waist area.

Maggie Hewitt, founder of Maggie Marilyn said, “There is a romanticism about a puff sleeve, and for me, it also invokes a sense of strength.”  Even bridalwear is getting in on the act, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist Danielle Frankel, also add this Renaissance style to the wedding dress he designed.

If you still have a grandmother or grandfather who lives until now, chances are he will smile seeing the fashion trends this year.
