Dry Skin Face Care

Facial skincare is one important step to get facial skin that is smooth and tight. It’s just that the skin is likely to lose fluid due to certain conditions, thus making it look dry. So that dry skin problems can be avoided, you need proper facial skincare.

Wash your face with plain water

Avoid using hot water because it can worsen the condition of dry skin. When bathing, you should limit bathing time to only about 5-10 minutes.

 Carefully choose a facial cleanser

Use products that are gentle and without added fragrances, the goal is that your skin is protected from skin irritation which can cause the skin to become drier.

   Use moisturizer immediately after washing your face

It’s better to choose a moisturizer in the form of a cream or ointment for a dry face, rather than a lotion.

Choose a moisturizer that contains natural oils
For example, moisturizing with olive oil or jojoba oil. In addition, other ingredients that can also help dry skin are lactic acid, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, lanolin, mineral oil, and petrolatum.

  Use a moisturizer with an oily and thick texture

Before buying, try applying it on your palm, then turn your hand over. If the moisturizer is dripping, it means it isn’t thick enough for dry skin.

   Beware of products that can make skin dry

Some products that should not be used for you with dry skin, for example, products containing alcohol, fragrances, retinoids and alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA).

Dry skin conditions occur when the outermost layer of skin experiences a lack of fluids, which can be caused by various things. You should avoid various causes of dry facial skin. Among others are:


. Incorrect use of facial moisturizers
. Take a shower with hot water for too long
. Too much soap
. Dry air
 .Exposure to sunlight

If skincare for a dry face has been done, the results will usually appear after some time. However, if the skin becomes drier and causes complaints such as itching or skin becomes red, you should immediately consult a dermatologist.

Be aware of the possibility of dry skin as a sign of health problems in the body. The doctor will perform an examination and give a cream or ointment that can help resolve complaints on the skin, and treat the main causes if any.

Besides disturbing appearance, dry facial skin can disturb and cause discomfort. Therefore, it is important to care for dry facial skin carefully. Make sure you drink enough water and consume lots of fruits and vegetables, also avoid smoking habits that can have an impact on the skin.
