The Ginger Nuts!

Gemma Oliver | Saturday, December 15, 2012 |

If you've read my last post you'll understand why I'm feeling a tad sorry for myself and absolutely needed to whip out my all time favourite Christmas scent, ginger! There's just something so warm and comforting about the spice and maybe it has something to do with the fact that my mum always used to make me and my brother gingerbread men when we were younger, especially at Christmas, but I honestly couldn't think of a more Christmassy scent to get me in the mood for these upcoming festivities and give me a much needed pick me up!

Origins Ginger Range is without a doubt my favourite and every year at the beginning of November I nip into my local Origins counter and pick up the same two items; Incredible Spreadable Smoothing Ginger Body Scrub and Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream. Both have the most incredible ginger scent, have wonderful consistencies which work a treat on whipping dry winter skin back into shape and are just lovely lovely natural products. What more could you want?

Well actually this year I did want something else too, if I was using ginger products on my skin I figured I'd embrace the goodness of ginger on my health so I huddled off to Holland & Barrett and picked up this 'Three Ginger' green tea by Pukka and what a good choice it was. Imagine ginger beer without the fizziness, that's exactly what this tastes like. Warm, rich, comforting and spicy. Just what you need in the winter time to lift your spirits!

There's so many other products I want to try from Origins Ginger Range such as their Ginger Up Aromatic Shampoo and Conditioner and their Ginger Essence Intensified Fragrance Rollerball. Pukka also do natural skincare that I'm dying to try out. If you've tried any of their skincare please let me know!

Do you like ginger? And if so what are your favourite ginger things?

Please note: During this post I was in the transitional stage from non-natural products to natural products. As far as I am aware Origins is not classed as a true natural brand, therefore I no longer use these products.
